Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the mine operation crew to ensure compliance to production, cost, efficiency, safety and environment.Execution of all safe operation producers, tyre control, fatigue management and ensure compliance to all safety related instructions.
  • Coordination with other department’s stakeholders to ensure compliance and achievement of objectives with geology, maintenance, process plant front end, dispatch, mine service and drill and blast.
  • Reporting on the line up and deliverables for the shift activities.
  • Ensure minimization of equipment damage
  • Ensure achievement of KPI’s
  • Ensure that the distribution of monthly and weekly plans to the mine captain and shift boss id done with the emphasis on them understanding and executing them correctly.
  • Direct on shift mining activities
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
  • Ensuring compliance to all legislation and relevant production procedure
  • Ensuring that relevant production information is accurate ,available and up –to date

Experience & skill:

  • Excellent skills on how to carry out disciplinary procedure
  • Accident /Incident investigation expertise
  • Excellent administration and management skills
  • Proficiency in microsoft office
  • Organisation and report writing skills
  • At least 10 years‘s experience in the same or similar position –preferably in the mining industry.
  • Knowledge in basic health and safety and first aid
