Providing technical expertise:

The incumbent will be accountable to develop, implement, administer and monitor training programs for front line and staff employees and provide support to Staff employees in that administration. The incumbent has the responsibility to ensure that safety training is in compliance, as required, with provincial and federal laws as well as Company policies. Also this position is responsible for the development and updating of all training manuals, procedural manual as required. The incumbent will obtain and maintain their required credentials and certifications to execute these responsibilities.

Administrative:

Integral to ensuring a healthy and safe workplace, the incumbent will be required to ensure all required forms, records, manuals and procedures are complete, accurate, thorough and timely utilizing hard copy and available software. Training requirements must be completed, up to date and recorded.

Environment/ Quality:

This position is responsible for maintaining product safety, legality and quality.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a mine or manufacturing environment operating equipment and able to transfer knowledge.

  • Capacity to train employees and encourage safety in a workplace environment 
  • Must be able to conduct training in front of small or large groups
  • MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word 
  • Ability to create presentations that enhance training 
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Self-starter who can accept direction
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish would be advantageous
