The combination of the First Quantum and Inmet assets has created one of the world’s leading copper producers with a geographically diversified portfolio of high-quality operations and development projects in eight countries across five continents.

With a strategic plan to produce more than 1 million tonnes per annum of copper within five years, the Company is poised to become the largest, widely-held pure-play copper producer and one of the top five copper producers in the world.

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced HR Advisor to joined our Human Resources Team.
Key Accountabilities and Challenges
  • Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
  • Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the process plant control room.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of manpower plans and manpower control throughout the organization.
  •  Analyses manpower information to produce reports and recommendations for managerial decision making. Carry out studies to diagnose and recommend the necessary courses of action to remedy any.
  • Responsible for maintaining HR  content on the HR SharePoint page.
  • Works  closely with the Employee relations teams  to deliver all Project implementation activity. 
  • Responsible for the resource tracker for the project team. Escalates any issues or risks for resolution. 
  • Supports the facilitation and the implementation of local and global HR processes and being involved in ad hoc HR
    related (improvement / change) projects.
  • Control, report and reduce operational costs, and ensure cost consideration taken with all decisions.
  • Embrace FQM Way culture and challenge convention - "Bolder, Smarter, Driven, and Together."
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by HR Superintendent, HR Support.

Knowledge and Experience:


  • HR Degreee would be Ideal.


  • Ideally, experience of working as an HR Administrator or in a Project Coordinator role.
  • Experience in the Mining Industry is useful, but not essential.
  • HR and/or Project management knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of SharePoint, excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong eye for detail and with a thorough approach to ensure high quality delivery focused on the (internal) customer. 
  • Proactive in managing and escalating day to day issues that may arise.
  • Comfortable with change and working in a fast-paced environment with confidential information.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Fluency in English is required and proficiency in Spanish highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable.

• Regirse bajo todas las leyes relevantes y aplicables de Panamá.
• Mantener los estándares de HSE y garantizar el cumplimiento estricto dentro de la sala de control de la planta de proceso.
• Participar en el desarrollo y la implementación de planes de mano de obra y control de mano de obra en toda la organización.
• Analiza la información de mano de obra para producir informes y recomendaciones para la toma de decisiones gerenciales.

  • Llevar a cabo estudios para diagnosticar y recomendar los cursos de acción necesarios para remediar cualquier situción. 
  • Responsable de mantener el contenido de recursos humanos en la página de recursos humanos de SharePoint. 
  • Trabajar en estrecha colaboración con los equipos de relaciones laborales para cumplir con todas la actividaded de implementación
     del proyecto.
  •  Responsable del coordinar el seguimiento y ubicación de los recursos para el equipo del proyecto.
      Escalar cualquier problema o riesgo para su debida resolución. 
  • Apoyar la implementación de procesos de RR.HH. locales y globales y estar involucrado con RR.HH. ad hoc
    en los proyectos relacionados (mejora / cambio). 
  • Controlar, informar y reducir los costos operativos, y asegurar que se tome en cuenta el costo con todas las decisiones. 
  • Adoptar la de cultura y desafío de FQM: "Más audaz, más inteligente, impulsada y más unida". 
  • Realizar cualquier otra tarea según lo asignado por el Superintendente de Recursos Humanos, Apoyo de Recursos Humanos.
    Conocimientos y experiencia:
    • HR Degreee sería ideal.
    • Idealmente, experiencia de trabajo como administrador de recursos humanos o en un rol de coordinador de proyectos.
    • La experiencia en la industria minera es valorada, pero no esencial.
    • Conocimiento y experiencia en gestión de recursos humanos y / o proyectos.
    • Conocimiento y experiencia de SharePoint, Excel y PowerPoint.
    • Fuerte atención a los detalles y con un enfoque exhaustivo para garantizar una entrega de alta calidad centrada en el cliente (interno).
    • Proactivo en la gestión y la escalada de problemas cotidianos que puedan surgir.
    • Cómodo con el cambio y el trabajo en un entorno acelerado con información confidencial.
