We are looking for Maintenance Planner Fixed Equipment for our Project Cobre Panama

Key Accountabilities and Challenges

  • Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama
  • Through personal standards, maintain an emphasis on safety, environmental responsibility and operational responsibility
  • Coordinate resources, labour, spare parts and materials to site and plant access for preventative maintenance
  • Assist with ordering and securing resources for maintenance work including liaising with suppliers
  • Record, consolidate and prepare performance measures for the maintenance teams
  • Prepare work packages and standards of work as required by the maintenance team
  • Prioritizing scheduled and unscheduled workflow ensuring decisions are made in the best interest of the company
  • Establish and maintain the equipment register within the ERP system to enable full functionality of the ERP system and accurate reporting
  • Maintain the work order system within the ERP system
  • Raise stock and purchase requisitions
  • Develop and maintain standard work scopes, parts material lists and other support documents used for maintenance activities
  • Assist with inventory item management through accurate and timely preparation of ANSI / ANSIL processes and regular reviews to ensure relevancy
  • Ensuring administrative tasks and required documentation is completed clearly and concisely within established timeliness to standard companies
  • Assist with budget and forecast preparation
  • Promoting a culture to ensure full compliance with all applicable safety standards
  • Provide technical support for maintenance personnel on a daily basis to maximize effectiveness, efficiencies and optimize costs
  • Identify, participate in and promote continuous improvement processes
  • Implement FQM Way culture across the team – “Smarter, Bolder, Driven, Together”
  • Liaising with peers and colleagues to enable the above
  • Know and comply with the Safety and Occupational Health Regulations in Mining, Internal Work Rules, Code of Ethics and Conduct, Loss Prevention Manual

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Education
    • A Tertiary Qualification in an Engineering and/or related Trade Certificate
    • 5+ years industry experience in a planning or maintenance role
  • Skills
    • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge and technical skills in maintenance, repair and diagnosis of fixed plant and infrastructure, such as buildings, potable water systems, waste water treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, water storage tanks, air conditioning systems, compressed air and distribution systems, laboratory equipment, fire systems, monitoring systems, domestic buildings, kitchens, laundries,
    • Knowledge of working planning and scheduling, equipment availability and preventative maintenance processes
    • Skill to understand and analyse maintenance performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Knowledge in management of information systems (ERP)
    • Ability to work within a team environment
    • Team focus
    • Driver's license.
  • Experience
    • Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar large enterprise systems
    • Experienced in the use of maintenance management systems
  • Language
    • Fluency in Spanish is required with English language competency highly regarded
